BEST MOVERS EVER
We Hired JM MOVERS LLC for a 4 bedroom home, they were perfect. We were paying for 2 movers and when the movers got here and seen how large the move was they send an additional guy out to help the already awesome movers to move me out(without any additional charge to me!!) i have moved several times and that has never happened so when they say there customer is the most important they really mean it!. They also moved a 8 person hot tub for us for a minimal charge . It was like a swamp in our back yard and they acquired some plywood and moved it with no problem. I totaled up the cost of the plywood and it cost more then what they actually charged me to move the thing...i am in awe about how awesome these guys were. We are also gong to be using them again in August to move into our newly build home. I STRONGLY suggest using these guys they were the best movers i have ever used ....The quoted price i gave above was only for there 4 hour minimum but my move went 12 hours. so 900 WAS A GREAT PRICE...They were running a end of winter special that was like 1/2 price of a normal moving service...
Pros:
- Friendly
- Clean good looking truck
- Great price

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!
DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU! JM Movers is NOT a professional moving company. They are inexperienced and disrespectful in moving people's possessions. 1) They had my belongings scattered all over the driveway during the move. 2) They did not wrap any of my artwork or fragile pieces as they state on their website. 3) They inefficiently loaded the truck. After 13 hours and many cigarette breaks and cigarette butts all over the yard, they only moved a portion of my belongings. I had to make 5-6 trips to move the rest of my things after moving one hour away. 4) They left a treadmill because they didn't want to deal with it. I had to reschedule to move it on another day. 5) They broke the front screen door during the move. They never offered to come out and fix it. They only mailed the $12 part which I had to repeatedly ask for for 2 months. 6) They dropped over a 100# headboard onto the bed frame causing 2 large gouges in the headboard and the frame. $200 worth of damage. After 3 months of vicious, attacking emails and a bunch of run around from the owner, he refused to fix it or compensate for the damage. 7) Again after much going back and forth with nasty emails for 3 months the owner told me to take him to court. When I did, he did not show up, in which case I won the case, but then he never paid the court judgement. 8) It seems I'm not the only person that has taken this company to court. See for yourself!! Search in the AVON LAKE CLERK OF COURTS WEBSITE. There was a case a year before mine where he did the same exact thing. In that case the plaintiff took further action and tried to withhold funds from his bank accounts. In 3 separate instances, Craig moved the money out of his bank before the court could withdraw the funds to pay the judgement. During this entire process, 6 months in total, Craig Boothe was mostly unresponsive, but when he was responsive he was abrasive and unprofessional. Not someone you want to do business with.

do not contact in way at all .
Original review Mar 22, 2016
RUN, from this moving company, I hired JM Movers because I thought they were a professional company. I was wrong. they showed up 4 hours late, the company was in contact with me that day to let me know they would be late but did not have a time they would be there. If I had known this would happen I would not have hired them. the movers were as good as they could be but they did not have the proper tools to move, just one dollie that looked like it was bought from K mart they used mine that was a professional dollie, I had to help them move because I did not want to go over the 4 hours . Know I now why they were late because they do not have the proper tools to move so it goes over the 4 hours. I was never offered a discount for them being late, that did not really matter to me. I hired movers so I would not have to but I ended up doing the move anyway to help. If I had not the movers would not have made it in time for the 4 hours. the movers told me that sometimes they do not finish the job till 2:00 am in the morning. I did pay in full and tip the movers good because it is hard work to do that. the next day I got a nasty email from the owner Craig about me having a problem to pay the taxes and fees. I did respond to him and told him not to respond to back to me I do not want any more communication with this company in any way shape or form. I still got a email from the company the next day after I told him not to respond to me or write me. If I get another email from him I will report his company for harassment. Please go with someone else than this moving company. He can say what he wants the bottom line is , it is not a smooth move and they will go over if you do not help the movers.

Awesome movers
we just moved with these guys and we were skeptical because we seen on this website that they were a scam, an boy were they wrong these guys were great and professional. I am amazed that people can go on here and say anything that they want about a business and how much that can effect our decisions to choose them or not. I am thankful that i was in a financial tight spot an took the chance. These guys are affordable and very GOOD at what they do and Craig and Kristi were great with the whole process....i recommend them to everyone to use . They run a great special of $300.00 for 4 hours of service. I wound up going over by 2 hours and man the extra hours were only $95.00 extra per hour. All the other companies i called there minimum was $650.00 or more and there extra hours were absurd upwards of $150.00 and hour i cant express how thankful i am to JM MOVERS

EXCEPTIONAL Movers
Efficient, kind and careful. Worked in less time then we were quoted. Price is the best around and the quality of the work was great. Dan and Sunny, the two guys on our move, were respectful and helpful. Nothing was broken or scratched. They made a second stop to pick up furniture at a different location to bring to new house without batting an eye and still were under time. The price we were quoted was the price that we paid at the end. Very impressed and will use again if ever needed.
Pros:
- Great price
- Friendly
- Clean moving blankets

GREAT SERVICE....trying to spread the word
I hired JM MOVERS LLC on June 1st 2015 to move my 3 bedroom house from westlake to rockyriver and i was a little skeptical at first as they had a C rating with the BBB, but as soon as they got here i felt like i was in good hands, There truck was professional and clean they were in Uniforms and clean cut. The guy Craig that was in charge seemed very educated and polite. He explained all the paperwork to me very carefully to make sure that i understood all that was involved with the pricing, although i already knew all this information because they sent me the paperwork to my email weeks before my move so i could see there were no hidden cost. They had plenty of those pad thingies to cover my furniture. I was expecting a 10 to 12 hour move and these 2 guys took only 7 hours to move my entire house...I must say i was impressed as the last movers i had took 16 hours to move me that was another reason for my apprehension towards JM MOVERS LLC, i guess somewhere in my head i was still upset about those other movers i hired a few years ago. I will reffer and re use JM MOVERS again and again, i usually move every 3-5 years due to my job. IF your reading my review i would day give them a chance i dont think you will be unhappy you did...o dang i almost forgot my favorite thing about JM MOVERS the PRICE.....it was almost free compared to movers i have used in the past i paid $650.00 for 7 hours of work where the last movers i paid was $1480.00 YEA YOU TALK ABOUT CHEAP!!! and they were licensed and insured i asked for proof and i called there insurance company to confirm....I so will be using them again...Well thats my 2 cents i hope that it helps you make a informed decision about which mover to use

GRADE A MOVERS
I bought this service for a move for my mom who is a disabled senior. Within an hour of purchase the company contacted me to set the date of service and go over the details. Great customer service! I felt the move would go very well based on the conversation with Craig the contact person. I was asked to e-mail an inventory list which I did and then I received an e-mail the day before the move as a reminder. On the day of the move the movers arrived on time and were very professional and very easy to work with. Craig also called to make sure the movers had arrived and everything was going smooth. My mom had to downsize for this move and was still trying to decide if she should take an old desk and the movers were so nice about letting her decide even though they were clearly busy with the job and getting the move completed in the allotted time. They really tried to keep on schedule, which they did, even though it was by far the coldest day we've had so far this fall, it was snowing, and they had completed another move before ours! Great guys, they handled all of her belongings with care and showed very good moving skills throughout the day with the challenges of a "slightly larger than the doorway sofa". Great company, great movers! I will definitely use them whenever I have a move and I will recommend them to anyone I know!

- Great price

JM Movers - Plants Transportation Review from New Chicago, Indiana
I needed desparately to move in a hurry. Most of my belongings are average, of decent value. Except for my plants. I take great pride and care of the 100 plus gems. Some of them are over 20 years old. So my concern was obvious. Plants cannot be stacked like boxes and must be handled with extreme care, not just moving them but temparature and shocking them is serious. I met 2 companies for an estimate and physically showed the reps what they were dealing with. The best I got was we have insurance and if anything goes wrong we can pay for it. Money would not fix anything. Enter JM Movers. The owner came out endured my concern and listened. All went well and the workers were very schooled on proper handling. I don't want to give negative criticism about the others as they were not hired. My plants and I are happy in our new apartment.

Miserable moving experience
I hired JM Movers for a move on 12-16-2013. I was moving from a small temporary apt to a townhouse. The move was to load the apt stuff in a truck, take it to my new location and unload a storage pod. The movers arrived on time and got off to a good start, however, it took a drastic turn. They became slower and slower as the day went on. They had another move scheduled for later that day that they didn't want to do it, so they dragged their feet. There was frequent smoke breaks and cell phone breaks, an extended lunch as well as one of the movers getting picked up by his wife so he could take money out of an ATM for her. The move easily should have been 2 hours less. No care was taken for my possessions. At one point I walked outside and saw wood and upholstered furniture on a snow covered driveway without the use of tarps. I've had to wipe, green machine and buff dirt and grime off of most pieces of furniture. They did not reassemble dressers, left art in the garage with heavy corn hole game pieces leaning on them, etc.... I spoke to Craig prior to the move and it was my understanding that I would be invoiced through pay pal, however at the end of the move I was told that they would only accept cash and I owed $855.0. It was 8pm, no way to get cash. After going around and around, Craig agreed to invoice me through pay pal and left his movers there while I took care of the transaction. He then tried to tack on his Paypal fee, to which I said I would not pay. He then agreed to take it off. It was my mistake signing the paperwork so his guys could leave without inspecting my property. It was a long day and everyone was tired. The next day one of the movers called to tell me shoes were left in the truck and he would drop them by the next day. That day came and went and I never received them. I let 6 days go by then emailed Craig about my property and voiced my displeasure about the move. Another 6 days went by (total of 12 days since move) and I still had no response from Craig. I sent an email to him stating that I hadn't received a reply about my property so I was filing a complaint with the bbb and Angie's list. He immediately responded to me that I was threatening him and that we already talked about the return of my shoes. I reviewed all emails and phone logs and told him he had not contacted me since the day of my move. I filed a dispute with PayPal, to which he left me a threatening voicemail telling me if I'm awarded any money he will take me to court and that he absolutely would not drop my shoes of under any circumstances, that I had to go pick them up at his house and see the faces of his family I was stealing money from. I said fine, I will pick then up when it is convenient for you, tell me an address and a day and time. He told me to call him jan 2 (5 days later) when he is back in the office from the holidays, I said I will not call but will email him then. He insisted that I call him directly if I wanted my shoes back. I said fine, I will call you jan 2 and arrange pickup of my shoes, that I thought it was shady that I had to go to his personal house and that I would be bringing a police escort because he had been threatening and manipulative. Craig then accused me of trying to cause a scene in front of his family and cause trouble, but those were his terms in order for me to get my shoes back. He then said any further attempts to contact him had to be done through a lawyer and I was him. He said he would drop my shoes off at the police station but didn't provide any other details. Craig is unapologetic for damaging my property, overcharging on hours, and withholding my personal property from me. I have phone message and emails to back up all claims mentioned.

J.M. Movers, LLC Scam In Cleveland, Ohio
My girlfriend and I recently had issues with a moving company called J.M. Movers, LLC on April 18, 2011 when we were moving into our new home. Craig Boothe from J.M. Movers verbally agreed to my girlfriend, Rachael Callihan, that we would only be charged $270 for a move that was estimated for 4 hours and he said that he would not charge us for any hours longer than this. At the end of the move, it took the movers about 7 hours to complete and Craig tried to pressure us for about $50 more even though we had a verbal agreement with him to be charged $270. Below I will explain the entire situation. Rachael and I scheduled J.M. Movers, LLC to move 1 King Size bed with mattresses, 1 Queen Size bed with mattresses, 1 long dresser with 2 mirrors attached, 1 long dresser with 1 mirror attached, 2 tall dressers, 3 night stands, a dining room table, 3 chairs, 1 china cabinet, and 1 microwave stand on a trip for 7.30 miles to our new house in morning on April 18, 2011. Both my mom and I took off work so that we could start to unpack and put things away that day. Neither Rachael nor I heard anything from J.M. Movers, LLC on April 17, 2011 to make sure everything was alright for moving the next day. The next morning, we did not see or hear anything from J.M. Movers, LLC. Rachael called Craig Boothe from J.M. Movers, LLC around 10:30 because the movers did not arrive yet. We received no response from Craig during this first phone call, so next we called Kristi, who was listed as the other number that was on the business card. When we spoke with her, she had no idea about the scheduled move we had with J.M. Movers and she herself could not get a hold of Craig. Kristi called me back around 12:00 and said she had no news about what was going on, but she would try to schedule movers for us for that afternoon or the morning of April 19, 2011. We did not hear from anyone from J.M. Movers, LLC for the rest of the day. On the morning of April 19, 2011 we tried to call Craig Boothe to see what was going on. We were finally able to get a hold of Craig Boothe at about 10:00 and he stated that the reason that the movers did not arrive the previous day was because he was in a bad accident. Craig said that he would try to get movers to help us in the afternoon on April 19, 2011 at around 3:00pm. Also, we asked Craig Boothe to see if he would provide a discount to us since the movers never showed up. Craig Boothe agreed verbally at this point take 10% off the initial bill for the 4 hours. After looking at what we wanted to be transported to the new house, the movers believed that the move would take about 4 hours with the amount of furniture that we had. The movers started working at 3:10pm on the afternoon of April 19, 2011. Soon after they started, the movers informed us that Craig Boothe never provided them with any tools to take the beds, china cabinet, or mirrors apart. The movers asked us if we had any tools that we could use for them to take apart the furniture, but we had already moved them to the new house. We called Craig again and complained that the workers were unprepared and could not move some of the bigger furniture without tools. Craig Boothe verbally agreed at this point that if one of us left to get some tools, he would deduct the time the movers had to wait for us to pick up the tools. At this point, we agreed and Rachael left for my mom's house which is 6.56 miles away. The movers decided to load other furniture into the truck since they did not have any tools to take apart the beds, china cabinet, or mirrors. Once Rachael returned with the necessary tools, only the 2 bed frames, 1 King Mattress, 1 Queen Mattress, 2 long dressers, and the china cabinet were not loaded on the truck. But, since the movers did not have the proper tools to take the furniture apart, they were unable to load everything into the truck to make the trip in one load. 3 mirrors, 1 King Mattress, 1 Queen Mattress, and 2 bed frames would not fit on the truck. The movers both stated that had they been provided the necessary tools by Craig, they probably could have loaded the truck efficiently and everything would have fit in one load. At this point, we contacted Craig Boothe and complained that everything would not fit in the truck because it was not loaded properly since the workers had to move other furniture in the truck first while they waited for us to get them tools. At this point, Craig Boothe verbally agreed to charge us only $270 for the entire move and he would not charge us for any hours longer that went over the 4 hour estimate. This was the final verbal agreement between all of us. We agreed that this deal was acceptable and the movers continued to work. The movers drove very slow and it took about 30 minutes just to drive 7.30 miles to our new house. This cost a decent amount of time, but we did not make an issue about it at the time after we made the verbal agreement with Craig Boothe. The workers moved the first load to our new house without any problems except for the rainy weather, nicks in the walls, dirt on the white carpet, and some damages to the Queen bed frame, a night stand, and 2 tall dressers. Once the first load was moved to the house, the workers and I returned to the condo to move the 3 mirrors, 1 King Mattress, 1 Queen Mattress, and 2 bed frames would not fit for the first load on the truck. It took another 30 minutes just to drive 7.30 miles to our new house on the second trip. Once we returned to the new house with second load, the workers emptied the truck and started to put the furniture back together. When the movers started to assemble the bed frames, it was night and dark outside. There are no light fixtures inside the rooms, so we brought up 2 lamps for the movers to use so that they could see in order to put the bed frames back together. At about 9:45pm, Craig Boothe called us complaining about how long the move was taking. We explained to Craig Boothe that the workers were trying their best to move everything in a timely fashion. Both the workers and us stated to Craig Boothe that the move was taking so long because the workers were not provided with proper tools to take apart the furniture and that the move took 2 trips since the truck was not loaded efficiently. Craig stated that he wanted us to pay an additional $50 because the move was taking so long. We refused to pay him anything extra because we had a verbal agreement with Craig that we would be charged only $270 for the entire move and he would not charge us for any hours longer that went over the 4 hour estimate. Also, we complained to Craig at this point that there were some damages done to some of the bedroom furniture, some of which were bought new in the fall of 2010. At the end of the move, the workers had papers for us to sign. Both the workers heard about the agreement between Craig Boothe and us about only being charged $270 for the entire move and that Craig would not charge us for any hours longer that went over the 4 hour estimate. We signed the papers and noted on the bill about the price that was verbally agreed about. We requested that one of the workers to initial the bill to prove that there was a verbal agreement between Craig and us involving the $270 cost for the move. We made copies of what we signed to make sure we kept track of what happened. On April 20, 2011 Craig Boothe sent us an invoice for move. Craig Boothe is now stating that he wants an addition $195 for the 3 additional hours. Also, Craig states that his verbal agreement with us was not valid since he did not provide it in writing. Craig is claiming that he did not authorize his workers about this agreement and that the worker who initialed the bill had no right to do so. He says if we do not pay him in 30 days that he may take further action, including small claims court. Craig says that we are in breach of contract. He highlighted in the contract sections that we violated. He claims in Section I, Part C that: "Household goods carriers will transport shipments with reasonable dispatch. Reasonable dispatch requires the transportation of a shipment within the agreed period of time on the moving services contract, except when the circumstances beyond the Carrier's control force majeure, prevent, or delay transportation." How are we in violation of this section when Craig failed to provide the movers with tools to take apart the beds, china cabinet, and mirrors apart which caused the movers to make 2 trips since the truck was not loaded efficiently? The furniture could have been easily moved in one trip had the workers been provided with proper tools and loaded the truck efficiently. The reason the move took so long was because of the mistakes that Craig Boothe made and I believe we should not have to pay for that. I am very upset about what Craig Boothe is doing. I do not feel that we should pay the additional $195 for the additional 3 hours after we had a verbal agreement with Craig.

22 hours ago. The reason for the delay in your payment was that we came back to your home and gave you $500.00 extra in free services.
WE moved your treadmill from willoughby to Amherst FREE OF CHARGE. while we were there disassembling your item you were saying awful stuff to us being irate and sending hateful emails afterwards. Then i looked at your head board and there were 2 minor scratches on your head board that if anyone wished i have pictures of to show anyone. I agreed to come and fix your head board then you changed the date on me last minute, the second time i had a sudden death in our family and you proceeded to LAUGH and say other choice things in regards to my loved one dying.
So i then was in a emotional position that I was very offended at your Laughing at my loved one dying it was awful. i was NEVER vicious to you i agreed to pay you the reimburstment amount instead of putting myself or my employees in your home to be verbaly assulted.
However that was not good enough for you. I offered you the amount that was agreed upon in the contract and you refused it again i can give all this proof to anyone that wishes to look into this matter instead of believing what your reading at face value.
We have never been sued before because we do a very good job at moving and we stand by our products .
You are the ONLY PERSON THAT has ever sued us. In addition i hope people can see that this (transferring money from bank accounts would not even be shown on a court docket) so i hope that people can see through that for the LIE that it is .
I cant believe that you are doing this to us after we helped you move at a very reasonable rate. We gave you almost $500.00 of free moving not to mention the day of your move we also gave you 2 hours off your move.
Please prospective customer see through her lies. A court first off would not post anything on a docket saying that "they moved money from accounts to avoid paying" that in of itself should show you and discredit this whole post as its a slanderous lie" As you can see across the board we are rated a 4 to a 5 star company . That is based on a lot of reviews. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction.
In some cases such as this on Heidi you can not satisfy they are unreasonable and very irate and she is totally over reacting to the whole situation to the point she is lying on a public website. Please see through this post as the LIE it is
